About NIC:
The Parbhani District National Informatics Centre (NIC) established in 1988 under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India , The centre is located at Room No.23, First Floor, District Collector Office, Parbhani. NIC serves as the technology partner for the government, providing ICT infrastructure and services to support e-Governance and Digital India initiatives across the district. These services are extended to offices such as the District Collectorate, District Court, Zilla Parishad, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Superintendent of Police (SP) Office, Agriculture Department, Regional Transport Office (RTO), District Consumer Court, Treasury, and other key administrative bodies.
Key Functions:

e-Governance Implementation: Assisting in the deployment of various e-Governance projects and Digital India programmes.

ICT Infrastructure Support: Providing services such as NICNET and National Knowledge Network (NKN) connectivity, video conferencing facilities, and messaging services.

Technical Consultancy: Offering guidance and support for the design and development of ICT initiatives as per the requirements of District Magistrates.

Website Design & Development : Design and regular updation of district website across all departments.

Capacity Building: Conducting training sessions and workshops to enhance the ICT skills of government staff.

Software Development, implement and Maintenance: Developing and maintaining software applications tailored to the needs of various government departments.

Event Support: Providing technical assistance for organizing VVIP events and implementing MeitY programmes like Digital India week , Safer Internet Day, and e-Governance Society.
Organizational Structure:

District Informatics Officer (DIO): Leads the district centre, overseeing all ICT-related activities and ensuring the smooth execution of e-Governance projects.

Additional District Informatics Officer (ADIO): Assists the DIO in managing the day-to-day operations and supports various initiatives.
- 2 Network Engineer and 1 District Rollout Manager : Assists the DIO and ADIO in managing the day-to-day operations and supports various initiatives.
